Semir Dual-life Fusion Jacket
Semir Dual-life Fusion Jacket has won the silver award in the Fashion, Luxury & Casual category of the Shop! Design Awards. As a globally influential competition, it evaluates entries comprehensively based on creativity, functional practicability, user experience and social value, and winning works represent outstanding standards of global apparel design. Independently developed by Semir Apparel for teenagers aged 7 to 14, this jacket addresses travel pain points for families during winter intercity trips and skiing, such as carrying too many clothes, unhygienic rented ski suits and discomfort caused by temperature differences.
Design Concept & Structural Features
The fabric adopts temperature-regulating and moisture-wicking technology to expel sweat rapidly during exercise and retain heat while resting, suiting both active and static scenarios. Integrating functions of daily outerwear and professional ski jackets, it eliminates the need for rented ski gear and avoids hygiene risks. It replaces multiple separate coats to lighten travel luggage and reduce redundant purchases. Tailored to teenagers’ body shapes, the loose cut allows unrestricted movements like running, jumping and skiing. With a minimalist stylish appearance, it fits both urban daily commutes and outdoor skiing looks.
Exploration of Design Value
Leveraging fabric technology, the jacket integrates daily and skiing functions to simplify families’ winter travel outfits. This award recognizes Semir’s R&D strength and scenario insight in functional outdoor apparel for teenagers, setting a benchmark for integrated scene design of parent-child outdoor clothing. Going forward, Semir will keep developing functional fabrics and outdoor wear, explore segmented scenarios including family trips and campus outfits, launch multi-scenario adaptive garments, and drive innovative upgrading of China’s casual and outdoor apparel industry.
