Professor Kulthida Songkittipakdee is an internationally recognized architect, educator, curator, and Co-Founder and Principal Architect of Jenchieh Hung + Kulthida Songkittipakdee / HAS design and research, a Bangkok-based architectural practice known for its research-driven approach to contemporary architecture, spatial experimentation, material innovation, and cultural identity. Together with Professor Jenchieh Hung, she has developed a multidisciplinary practice spanning architecture, research, exhibition, and education, with projects across cultural, institutional, commercial, residential, and public environments. She was the first Asian architect selected by the Renzo Piano Foundation to collaborate with the Renzo Piano Building Workshop in Paris, where she contributed to internationally significant projects including the Jerome L. Greene Science Center at Columbia University and the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) Expansion. Her international professional experience has contributed to a distinctive architectural perspective that combines rigorous design research with an understanding of material, context, culture, and contemporary urban conditions.
In 2024, she was appointed Chairman of The Association of Siamese Architects (ASA) – ASA Architect Expo, where she curated Thailand’s premier international architecture exhibition at the IMPACT Arena Exhibition and Convention Center, bringing together leading architectural voices from Thailand and abroad. In 2025, she was invited to serve as a Juror of the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) – RIBA International Awards: Asia Pacific Awards, further recognizing her contribution to the international architectural community. Professor Songkittipakdee currently serves as Vice President of The Association of Siamese Architects under Royal Patronage and Honorary Professor at Kazan State University of Architecture and Engineering, while contributing to architectural education as a Visiting Professor at Chulalongkorn University and Tongji University. Her architectural work has received international awards and recognition across Asia, Europe, and the United States. Through practice, research, education, and professional leadership, she continues to contribute to the development and international exchange of contemporary Asian architecture.
